Pro-Optic AREDS 2 Formula is based on the results from the AREDS 2 study completed in May, 2013. Pro-Optic AREDS 2 contains the six essential nutrients provided throughout the duration of the study. Each capsule contains Lutein (10MG), Zeaxantin (2MG), Zinc (25MG), Copper (2MG), Vitamin C (500MG), Vitamin E (200IU). Pro-Optic AREDS 2 contains natural Vitamin E. Throughout the duration of both ARED studies, patients were given synthetic Vitamin E (a less expensive, petroleum based version).
